HEATWAFER

HOME's range of low comsumption heating panels are very effective in combatting damp and humidity.

If damp in your home is a problem during the winter months, installation of heatwafers will significantly alleviate the problem. The panels are clean, silent, safe and simple, being based upon the radiant heat principle of objective heating, whereby people are warmed rather than a great mass of wasted air.

Radiant heat moves in straight lines, heating up all solid objects in its path, including people, but without heating the air, just as the suns rays. Objects in the path of the heat emissions act as lots of small heat convertors which in turn give off their own gentle heat, thus preventing people losing warmth to cold objects, such as walls, floors, tables, or chairs etc…

DURING TESTS IN THE UNITED STATES, HEATING EXPERTS BUILT A ROOM CONTAINING EVERY FORM OF HEATING COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE. TEST SUBJECTS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE, WERE EXPOSED TO THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF HEATING AND ASKED TO SET THEIR OWN COMFORT LEVELS USING THERMOSTATS MARKED ONLY WITH NUMBERS AND SHOWING NO TEMPERATURE SETTINGS. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT WHEN EXPOSED TO RADIANT HEAT, THE TEST SUBJECTS SELECTED TEMPERATURE LEVELS ON AVERAGE 5.6ºC LOWER THAN ANY OTHER FORM OF HEATING.

Many people deceive themselves by installing fan heaters or the like, which heat the air around them for the period of time that they are running. When switched off, the room returns rapidly to its previous temperature because the air looses its warmth to the still cold and damp objects in the room, including the walls themselves

Thermostatically controlled high consumption oil-filled radiators (1200W-1500W) switch themselves off when the room reaches its desired temperature. Most people budget that they will be on standby for approximately 50% of the time, however, in general they run for at least 75% making them an expensive alternative.

The concept behind heatwafer is to leave them running 24hrs a day during the period that they are needed. They gradually build up and maintain a confortable room temperature. They are very economical to run with room models ranging from 250W to 750W consumption depending on room size and heating requirements, making it affordable to be warm both day and night.

The indespensible HW1 model using only 80w an hour is specifically designed for closets and wardrobes to avoid damp and mould.

INSTALLATION COULD NOT BE EASIER - drill four holes and simply fix with the screws provided. Plug in and switch on.
